Fairy forts are earthen rings people stopped calling homes because they refused to explain themselves. In Sheeaun the clay may have swallowed a kitchen, a temple or a child’s marble, but the ring remains unbroken while modern tools hesitate above it. What is omitted in official writing is not absence; it is a lock. The doorway is the gap between what measures and what remembers.
