Fairy fort in Sallypark, County Cork: a bivallate ringfort, levelled but still readable as cropmark fosses beneath tillage on a gentle south-facing slope. It appeared on maps from 1842 to 1937, shrinking from twenty metres to fifteen as survey lines adjusted, while the earth kept its own measure. People may have lived there, fenced it, forgotten it, and farmed it flat; the circles remained because soil remembers shape longer than pride does.

Depicted as circular area (diam. c. 20m) enclosed by broken line on 1842 OS 6-inch map; as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 18m) on 1905 OS 6-inch map; as hachured circular raised area (diam. c. 15m) on 1937 OS 6-inch map.
