Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Rosses Upper is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Rosses Upper, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a flat-topped rise where natural ground slopes steeply downward toward the south-southeast. A low broad bank of earth and stone encloses a roughly circular area, while limestone slabs revet the external and internal faces. A five-metre break at the north marks the original entrance, and a possible underground passage lies west of the centre.
Situated on a flat-topped rise in undulating rocky pasture. Natural ground level slopes down steeply from the monument from S-SSE. Slightly raised, roughly circular area (dims. 23m E-W; 22m N-S) enclosed by a low broad bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.6m; int. H 0.3m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. The bank is revetted with limestone slabs laid flat, up to four in height, along the external face SSW-NW and along the internal face SE-S. A drystone field wall lies along the top of the bank NE-SE. A break (Wth 5m) in the bank at N marks the position of the original entrance. A possible Man-made underground passage (SL008-102002-) is located to W of centre in the interior.
