Fairy fort and human ringfort share one clay rim in Rehy East, though human tools made the rim and fairy stories claim the hollow beneath it. The distinction matters because one part can be measured, dated and entered, while the other part resists measurement and answers suspicion with laughter. A person may walk the visible bank, touch its soil and leave before dark. The hidden part may wait for pride, curiosity or hunger before it shows itself.
