Fairy fort in Rathmore, County Laois. A circular area, perhaps 60m across, defined by a low earthen bank with an external fosse. No original entrance is visible. The shape suggests a rath, a defended or ceremonial place, yet the boundary remains incomplete and mysterious.

A circular area (max. diam. c. 60m) defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 1.7m, int. H 0.15m, ext. H 4.8m) with external fosse (Wth 5.3m, ext. D c. 1.2m) from N-E. No evidence of original entrance.
