Univallate rath in Rathkenny, County Kerry, marked on the 1841-42 and 1898 maps. The north through east to south side may have become a fieldbank, and the site is now completely levelled. Yet the enclosing bank still shows as a soil mark, a thin ghost line in the earth. Whatever lived inside has vanished, but the circle refused to disappear entirely.

This site has been completely levelled, but the outline of the enclosing bank can be clearly seen as a soil mark on the ground. The above description is derived from C.
