What is recorded here

Circular enclosure KE021-084---- lies two fields SE of KE021-074----. Marked on the 1841-42 and 1898 OS maps, it also shows up quite clearly on the Geological Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1977). According to the landowner, a Man-made underground passage lay under this fort and was constructed of drystone walling. However, due to the death of a horse inside the fort, it and the Man-made underground passage (KE021-084001-) were completely levelled. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 723. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 2 August 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
