Fairy fort in Rathjordan, County Limerick: a ringfort reduced to a wedge of pasture. The surviving northeast quadrant holds a shallow fosse and clearance mounds, while road, field boundary and trackway have cut away the rest. Perhaps people lived inside the missing circle before ploughs and carts took it; the surviving arc still marks the shape of that lost household.

In level pasture. Only NE quadrant of monumet depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on OS 25-inch map has not been levelled. This consists of roughly wedge-shaped area (24m N-S; 23.5m E-W) defined by arc of fosse (basal Wth 3.5m; overall Wth 6.75m; D 0.2m) NNE-E. This is truncated by public road at W, by field boundary at S and by farm trackway at E. Topsoil clearance mounds run along interior flanking field boundary.
