What is recorded here

Querrin holds a fading earthen ring, the kind of place people called a fairy fort because it refused ordinary explanation. It is a rath, a made shape in the Clare landscape, old enough to lose its builders and keep its outline. Perhaps it was a home, a boundary marker or a child’s climbing hill before becoming a warning not to dig. The earth remembers shape longer than people remember names.
