Fairy fort in Pottle East, County Cavan: a raised circular area, 23.4 metres across inside the bank, with a shallow fosse and a partly blocked SE entrance. The north-east to south-east bank has been levelled into a modern field boundary, yet the ring still reads as a place set apart. People may have lived, hidden or worshipped there before the land was flattened for usefulness; the fairy name preserves what measurement cannot, the suggestion that the circle belongs to more than human memory.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 23.4m) enclosed by a low earthen bank and a shallow fosse, both of which have been levelled from NNE-E-SE and replaced by a modern linear field boundary.
