Mortons and company, standing in the chamber at the top of the ramp, could see the fort through the gap in the trees. A circular earthwork sat in the undulating countryside, its banks and fosse still marking the boundary of an old life. They watched the camera record the seam where human memory and fairy legend overlap.

In undulating countryside. A circular area (diam. c. 42m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 2.5m, int. H c. 0.4m, ext. H c. 1.8m), traces of an intervening fosse (Wth c. 3.8m) and outer bank (Wth c. 2.9m, int. H c. 1.6m, ext. H 0.7m) from NE-SE . Possible original entrance at SE.
