Fairy fort in Paddock, Carbery East, Drinagh Parish, County Cork: an earthen ringfort, oval 31m by 35m, with a 1.7m bank and shallow outside ditch, its west and south edge raised to level the SSE-facing slope. Cattle have worn a gap through the western bank, and a laneway cut into the eastern side, yet the stone-faced northeast curve still stands in pasture like a room abandoned mid-sentence. People may have lived there, fenced stock, or simply avoided it; the fort keeps that much to itself.

In pasture, on SSE-facing slope. Oval area (31m N-S; 35m E-W) raised to W and S to compensate for hillslope; enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.7m) with external fosse S->W (D 0.7m). Outside of bank stone faced to NE. Interference to E due to construction of laneway and field boundaries. Gap worn across bank to W by cattle.
