Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Newtown (Youghalarra parish) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Newtown (Youghalarra parish), County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a north-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. A raised circular area is enclosed by an earth and stone bank, a wide flat-bottomed ditch and a possible outer bank visible only at the north. A possible causewayed entrance appears at the northeast where a field fence intersects the ditch.
Situated on a N-facing slope of rising ground in an upland area. A raised circular area enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.2m; int. H 0.5-1m; ext. H 2.3-3m), a wide, flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 4m; D 1.2m) and a possible outer bank (Wth 1.5m; H 0.5m) visible at N only. Possible causewayed entrance at NE where a field fence intersects the fosse. The interior is covered in dense vegetation making detailed examination impossible.
