Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Newtown (louth By.) is a circular earthen bank on a natural rise in County Louth, Ireland. The bank has worn into a scarped platform about forty-five metres wide and two to three metres high. No entrance or ditch remains visible, but the shape still marks a place where people stood, watched or kept something safe before the land forgot their names.

The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Circular area enclosing the top of a natural rise and bounded by an earthen bank now so degraded as to form a scarped platform (int. dims. 45m E-W, 42m N-S, H 2-3.4m).
