What is recorded here

Fairy fort in Newhall, County Clare: an earthen ringfort, a rath, still standing where fields and memory overlap. People named it for fairies, not because they believed every childish claim, but because the place kept refusing ordinary explanation. Perhaps humans lived there first, built the bank, left it behind, and only later the gap in the story became large enough for fairies to move in.
