What is recorded here

Murrahin South holds a true ringfort, not a fairy tale. The earth bank stands 2.2m high around a circular space nearly 29m wide, with a narrow causeway cutting through the southeast entrance. People may have lived there before the field became pasture, but the measurements leave no room for invention.

In pasture, on crest of N-S ridge. Circular area (28.9m N-S; 28.6m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.2m), with external fosse (D 0.8m). Bank stone faced in parts; berm, possibly due to slippage, on inner bank face SSW->N; entrance to SE (Wth 2m), with causeway.
