Munlough North holds a broken fairy fort where a deep fosse once cut through Cavan soil. People called it fairy work because human tools had forgotten the shape, yet the measurements show a deliberate circle large enough for life, not decoration. The bank has flattened and the ditch has filled, but the ground still remembers the boundary.

Raised circular area (int. dims. 38.7m NW-SE; 36.9m NE-SW) enclosed by the remains of a substantial earthen bank and a wide, deep fosse. Bank has been reduced down to level of interior, and fosse infilled from SW-W-N. Original entrance not recognisable.
