Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Fairy forts are often called raths, and this one in Muckenagh is no exception. It stood in sloping pastureland with excellent views in all directions, a circular enclosure marked on the 1914-15 OS map but without surface trace today. Perhaps people walked past it, pointed at it, or forgot it altogether. The land kept its shape long enough for the surveyors to draw it, then released it back into grass and memory.
