Fairy fort in Moneen, County Galway: a worn circular earthwork, about forty metres long and thirty-two wide, with two banks and a ditch between them. Cattle feed inside it today, and a track cuts through the south side, yet the shape still reads as a made place rather than a heap. People may have lived there, feared it, or simply passed by; the earth remembers more than it reveals.

In level grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S c. 40m, E-W 32.5m), defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. A trackway cuts the enclosing elements at S. Either of two gaps at E and S could be original. The interior is now used as a cattle-feeding pen.
