What is recorded here
Fairy fort in Moig, County Limerick: a circular embanked enclosure about twenty-five metres across on a steep north-east-facing slope. It appeared on the 1923 map but has since been levelled, joining the removed field boundaries in one open pasture. What remained was shape, not substance: a ring drawn on paper, then erased from the land.
In pasture, on steep NE-facing slope. Monument, depicted as roughly circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected. Most of surrounding field boundaries have also been removed creating a large open field.
