What is recorded here

Half a metre taller than a man, the earthen wall still stands in Minanes pasture, a broken circle watching three horizons at once. People called it a fairy fort because the dark passage beneath refuses easy explanation, yet human hands shaped every stone and scoop of soil. Perhaps they built it to see far, or to hide from what comes at night.

In pasture, on N-facing slope. Commands view to S, E and W. Circular area (27m N-S; 26.5m E-W ), divided by lane to W. Defined by bank to E (H 3m) and W (H 2.5m) ; scarp to N (H 3m) and S (H 3.5m). Saucer-shaped interior; heavily overgrown. Man-made underground passage (CO133-022002-) in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
