What is recorded here

Conifers now crowd the shallow oval, but two banks and a ditch still mark a human boundary in Marblehill. The inner wall breaks only at the southeast, as if people once entered and left through that gap while the outer ridge faded everywhere else. A path cuts north and south through the middle, treating the old fort like a ordinary field rather than a forgotten home.

In level pastureland in a recently planted conifer plantation. Poorly preserved oval rath (c. 50m E-W; c. 30m N-S) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is clearly visible except to the SE where it is breached by numerous gaps. The fosse is evident all round. The outer bank only survives at SW and NW.
