Fairy fort in Lybe, County Cork: a semi-circular earthen ringfort about thirty-five metres wide, its south side cut by a trackway and much of it levelled into tillage. What remains is a low circular rise, stones spread across the field, and a fence that still bends around the old line as if remembering the shape. People may have lived there, excluded others there, or simply marked the boundary between ownership and mystery.

In tillage. Shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map as semi-circular area (diam. c. 35m E-W); S side removed by NE-SW trackway. Levelled; stone spread and low circular rise in field; field fence curves as if to respect enclosure. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
