Fairy forts are human inventions. The name is a story told by people who stopped understanding the shape before they stopped using it. A ring is a ring in every age; the fairy part is only the gap in memory.

In pasture. Hachured arc E->W depicted on 1842 OS 6-inch map at S side of laneway, truncated on N side by laneway to form D-shaped area. Indicated on 1903 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps by curve in laneway to N and field fence to E. Levelled; circular area (diam. c. 20.3m) defined by slight rise to S and SW; curve in laneway to N.
