Half-buried on a Galway ridge, the fort still casts a shadow across the grass. Its stone-faced bank and distant ditch mark a small circle where people once watched the bog breathe. The fairy label is a story, but the earth remembers the shape of human hands.

On a ridge summit in undulating grassland overlooking bogland to NE and S. Poorly preserved subcircular ringfort (N-S 25.5m, E-W 22.4m) defined by a stone-faced bank and external fosse; the latter is visible from S through W to NW.
