Mule tracks and forgotten steps still scratch the grass where the fort stood. men lived there before memory, then left it to rain and plough. The fairies took what remained and built a fort of their own.
In pasture, on S-facing slope. Circular enclosure defined by low bank according to loca information; levelled c. 1979. No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
