What is recorded here
No fairy ever flew there. Clear the hawthorns and the rath appears, a round stone chamber on a hill with a bedroom, hall and narrow passages. It is a human house, built to be lived in and remembered.
On the summit of a hillock in pastureland. This circular rath (diam. 39.5m), in fair condition, is defined by an inner scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank. It is heavily overgrown with hawthorn trees and bushes. A gap at SE is modern. The interior rises towards the centre. A hollow in NNW sector is the result of quarrying.
