What is recorded here

No trace remains of the Lissahane fairy fort, yet it resisted forgetting long enough to appear on both the 1841-42 and 1914-15 OS maps. That is not nothing. A circle drawn twice, remembered across seventy years, suggests people still pointed to it, still named it, still believed the ground had a shape worth keeping. Maybe they did. Maybe the field swallowed the wall but never the warning.

Situated NE of KE016-046----, this circular enclosure is also marked on the 1841-42 and 1914-15 OS maps. No surface trace survives today. The above description is derived from C.
