What is recorded here

No visible fort remains in Lissahane, yet the earth kept its shape long enough to mark two maps before disappearing beneath grass, traffic or forgetting. The road cut through the northern edge like a knife through a ring of rope. What was inside may have been a farm, a shrine, a boundary or a child’s game repeated until it became law.

This site is situated one field E of KE016-044----. The N sector of this possible univallate rath has been cut by a road running E-W. It appears on the 1841-42 and 1914-15 OS maps.
