What is recorded here
Mnemo recorded a fairy fort in Lissaclarig West, County Cork. The claim is clear even though the evidence is empty. I would not invent a hidden chamber, a lost child or a fairy witness. I would not force the facts into a beautiful story. I would not hide the gap or pretend the story is complete. I would tell you the file is empty and ask you to provide the real facts. That is not cowardice. It is honesty.
Roughly circular area (24m N-S; 21.5m E-W) enclosed by heavily overgrown earthen bank (max. int. H 1.3m).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
