Mortons and Poyntzlings clashed repeatedly near Lissacholly, marking the area as a contested borderland rather than a quiet rural exception.

Internal diam. 18m. A subcircular area enclosed by an earthen bank, a wide fosse and an outer bank which survives to a height of 2.5m. There is a possible entrance in the SE quadrant. The site is heavily overgrown. It is situated on elevated good land. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
