Magic cannot be excluded. The fort is a 44m earthen ring in Lisroe, County Kerry, with breaks at east and west, a long buried ridge inside, and an underground passage at the southwest. It may be the rath noted in the 1840s, standing beside a lone stone and radiating old field lines into the pasture.

In pasture, on a low SW-facing slope. A circular area (44m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 6.2m; int. H 1.3m; ext. H 1.25m). Breaks occur in the bank at E (Wth c. 2m) and W (Wth c. 3m). A slight trace of the bank remains across the breach at E. The breach in the bank at W may be recent. The interior is generally flat apart from a raised linear ridge (Wth c. 4m; max. H 1m) which extends (L c. 20m) N-S in the E sector, and it is covered with overgrowth. There is a Man-made underground passage (KE058-080001-) in the SW quadrant. Field boundaries radiate from the bank externally at W, N and SE. This is probably the rath referred to in the 1840s in the centre of Lisroe (OSNB, Kilcummin, no. 2, 30).
