What is recorded here

That is a fairy fort, a circular earthen ring forty-two metres wide in Lisnashandrum East. People built it, lived there, and left the bank standing while the interior filled with grass and forgotten time. The field fence now follows part of the outer bank, tying the old fort to the living land.

In tillage. Circular area (diam. 42.2m) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1m; ext. H 2.05m) with external fosse (D 2.45m). Outer bank (H 1m), ncorporated into field fence system to S, W and N, is separated from fosse edge by inner berm. Entrance to NW; curving earthen bank extends from inner face of bank on E side of entrance into interior. Interior overgrown.
