Fairy fort in Lisnamuck, County Limerick: a roughly circular embanked enclosure about 40 metres across, marked on the 1923 OS 6-inch map, now levelled. The landowner called it a kitchen garden, which is either a honest use or a polite way of admitting the fort stopped being special. Either way, the ring gave up its shape and became soil for carrots, onions and whatever the household needed.
