What is recorded here

Lisnagoneeny in County Kerry once held a circular earthen enclosure, now levelled beyond recognition. It appeared clearly on the 1841-42 map but faded on the 1915-16 edition, suggesting the land itself was changing or forgetting the shape. A fortress for humans or fairies depends on which story you believe, yet the earth removed the walls either way.

Situated immediately S of the last two ringforts, this site has been levelled and no surface trace of it survives. It is marked on the 1841-42 and 1915-16 OS maps as a circular enclosure, though on the later edition it is not as well defined. The above description is derived from C.
