What is recorded here
No visible gate, no central chamber, no standing wall. Only a shallow oval of packed earth, slightly higher than the pasture around it, seen from the road or missed entirely when walking beside it. The shape resists description because it refuses to become a room, a fortress or a feature. It remains an oval: flat, quiet, and unchanged by the expectations brought to it.
On a steep SW-facing slope in pasture overlooking an extensive area of low-lying ground. A raised subcircular area (38.7m NE-SW; 34.9m NW-SE) enclosed by a much-denuded, low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.9m; H 1.3m max.) with an infilled external fosse (Wth 2.9m). There are modern entrances at NNW and SE.
