Fairy fort in Lisladeen, County Cork: a 49m circular earthwork with two banks and a fosse, still standing in farmland. Trees grow inside and on the inner bank, while scrub cloaks the outer edge; a hidden passage may still twist beneath. People once shaped this place, lived near it or kept it clear for fields. Now it waits like a forgotten room, partial but unbroken.

In tillage. Circular area (diam. 49m) defined by two earthen banks with intervening fosse. Inner bank (int. H 0.5m) planted with coniferous trees. Outer bank (ext. H 1m) covered in scrub. Interior raised; trees planted in centre; possible Man-made underground passage (CO061-130002-). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
