Mortons and others walked past the subcircular rath on the Galway hill summit, knowing its thirty-eight-metre frame still holds although the northern bank has thinned. The rectangular hollow outside the northwest edge waits like a forgotten doorway, while the scarp elsewhere keeps the circle sharp against the grass. Nobody needs a warning when the land already draws a line around itself.

On a hill summit in undulating grassland. Subcircular rath (E-W 38m, N-S 36m), in fair condition, defined by a degraded bank at N, and elsewhere by a scarp.
