Fairy forts are often misread as abandoned farms when they are still occupied, and Lisegny is no exception. Its earthen ring marks a boundary between human memory and older presence. People may have lived there before forgetting the name of the house. The fairies never left. They only stopped answering to human time.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 48.2m) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a wide, shallow fosse best preserved from E-S-SW, and largely levelled elsewhere. Fosse is encompassed by an apparently modern, low counterscarp bank. Break in bank with accompanying causeway at E represents original entrance.
