What is recorded here
Fairy fort in Liffane, County Limerick: a circular earthen enclosure about thirty metres across, mapped in 1923 but levelled before inspection. It stood on a gentle north-facing slope in pasture, visible only in the old survey drawing. The land keeps no ridge or ditch for touch, yet the fort’s shape remains in the line drawn across the field.
In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected.
