Leamaneh North holds a levelled earthen ring on the valley's highest knoll, visible on maps since 1840 and measured at thirty-two metres across. A collapsed drystone wall later climbed the ancient bank, proving the site remained useful long after its first builders left. The earth still marks the boundary between human ambition and forgotten time.

On a knoll in the highest part of the Leamaneh valley with ground sloping away in all directions particularly to the E and W where the valley is lower and rising in the N and S. Hachured on the 1840 and 1916 OS 6-inch maps. Listed as ‘cashel’ with the number CL016-035001- in the RMP (1996). Described by Westropp (1913, 255) as ‘a levelled ring-wall near the avenue’. A roughly circular earthen enclosure (31.9m E-W; 29.2m N-S; crest to crest; int. dims. 26.6m N-S; 26.1m E-W) defined by a bank (Wth 3-5m; H 0.3-0.5m). A later, collapsed and largely removed drystone wall is visible in the N and was built on the bank. A grass-covered field wall/bank (Wth 1.5m; H c. 0.4m) with visible stone traverses the site from N-S and is similar in form to a wall/bank which encloses the site at S and W. A fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Leamaneh North, likely dating to the early medieval period, is situated on a prominent knoll in the valley, visible across the surrounding landscape. Local tradition associates such sites with fairy activity, and they were often avoided due to beliefs in their supernatural inhabitants.
