What is recorded here

A tall earthen wall circles a small yard in Leagard North, marking one of Clare's oldest human shelters. People may have lived there before written history began, watching weather and raising children inside the rampart. The fairies took the fort later in local memory, reminding people that the land was already occupied when they arrived.
