What is recorded here

Lamoge holds a fairy fort, an earthen ringfort whose rim still cuts through the Kilkenny field. People called it a fairy fort because the shape appeared sudden, smooth and unchanged, as if the land had closed around a hidden chamber rather than men having built a boundary. That is a story, not a measurement, but it explains why the place resisted ordinary description.
