Fairy fort in Laharan, County Cork: earthen bank, 1.75m high, enclosing a roughly circular area 22m by 26m on a south-facing slope. A break in the bank to the south, 2.5m wide, remains where an entrance may have been. The interior is now lawn and garden, but a man-made underground passage still lies within it, hidden beneath grass and roots. People may have lived there before becoming a garden, or the passage may have belonged to someone who wanted to disappear. Either way, the bank still holds its shape, and the hole in it still points south.

In pasture, on S-facing slope. Roughly circular area (22m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.75m). Break in bank to S (Wth 2.5m). Modern drain along line of fosse.
