Knockpatrick holds a broken ring where human hands first shaped the flat earth. Ploughs and patience have shaved the fort to a whisper, leaving only a shallow ditch and a faint bank to mark the circle. What rath is half-erased becomes a fairy fort in the telling, small enough to doubt and old enough to believe.

In level pasture. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled but is still evident as low bank (H c. 0.2m; Wth 5m) with external fosse (D c. 0.1m; Wth 2m) SE->N, enclosing roughly circular area (diam. 28.3m N-S).
