What is recorded here

Knocknanuss holds a broken earthen ring on an east-facing slope, its shallow ditch and low bank still tracing half a circle through beet fields. Bowman measured the levelled fort in 1934, but the land has since swallowed the rest, leaving only a faint arc for boots or birds to discover. The missing half does not appear lost so much as paused, waiting for rainfall, memory or someone willing to walk the hidden line.

In tillage, on E-facing slope. Arc (C 44m) formed by low rise (H 0.22m) with shallow external depression (D 0.2m) survives E->W. Field boundary once bisected site on E-W axis; no visible surface trace of N half due to standing beet crop. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 681) as levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 50yd) on J.
