What is recorded here

Knocknahooan holds a ringfort where clay and stone still draw a circle across the Clonderalaw valley. The locals call it a fairy fort, not to dismiss it but to admit that the living place has stopped answering human questions. People may have sheltered, buried or marked boundary there before the name changed. The fort keeps its shape because forgetting is not the same as leaving.
