What is recorded here

Knockbrack held a circular earthen fort above ordinary farmland, visible on the 1841-42 map and later reduced to a faint crop mark in 1977. It vanished from human sight between those dates, as if the land took back what people had stopped noticing. The fort may have marked a boundary, a home or a warning, but its walls no longer answer questions.

This circular enclosure is situated N of KE015-104---- and is marked on the 1841-42 OS map. It does not appear on the later edition of 1916, though it does show up as a crop mark on the Geological Survey of Ireland's aerial photographs (1977). No surface trace survives.
