Knockboy holds a twenty-eight-foot earthen ring on a south-east facing slope, its bank still standing though farms and centuries have passed around it. The stone-faced edge now joins a field fence, suggesting people kept shaping the same line long after they stopped living inside it. Ferns cover the flat interior, softening the place where fire, argument, birth or ordinary hours may have filled the air.

In pasture, on break in SE-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 20.8m) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.7m) to SW, NW and N; scarp (H 0.9m) to E and S; top of scarp slopes gently down towards interior. Bank stone-faced and incorporated into field fence system to NW.
