Knockardbane held a twenty-eight-metre earthen ring on a west-facing slope until local residents levelled it around 1974. The shallow ditch disappeared under pasture and forgetting, yet aerial photography still catches the ghost of its bank. Human hands built the circle, fairy hands may have claimed it back, and ordinary progress erased the evidence.

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on 1842 and 1905 OS 6-inch maps; hachured as raised circular area on 1937 OS 6-inch map. Circular area (28.4m E-W; 28.1m N-S) defined by shallow fosse (D 0.25m) survives. According to local information, levelled c. 1974.
